| Tue 26th Aug 2008 News Article on 17's team You may have been made aware of an article published in today's West Australian newspaper and also on ABC Radio news and talkback concerning an occurrence at the LJFC 17's team qualifying final on Sunday vs Northern Cobras. The club is not prepared to make any statements surrounding the match itself, nor anyone involved with this event as it is currently being investigated by the East Perth District. The club would like to offer it's support to the boys in the 17's side who were involved in this match, and ultimately their finals campaign which they have undertaken. The committee and officials of the club are working with the EP District Development Council towards a favourable outcome in light of this occurrence, and stand by our club's zero tolerance policy with regards to these circumstances. | Sun 3rd Aug 2008 AFL Grand Final Function This years end of AFL season Grand Final function will be held at Kingsway Sporting Club on the 27th Of September. In what usually is a fantastic day, there will be lots of fun, prizes as well as the grand final being shown on the big screen. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for kids. All are welcome. | Tue 1st Jul 2008 **Newsflash - Club Registrar stars on “King of the Pack”** As mentioned previously the new junior footy show, "King of the Pack" is being aired every Monday night, from 7pm to 8pm, ON 990 AM Radio. Our Club Registrar, Ray Buscall, featured recently on the show put to air on the 30th of June, with a call in segment where he spoke about upcoming events, and also on some of our clubs fantastic history - a great advertisement for our club. Via the link to the WAFC on our website, you may be able to listen to Ray's comments under the podcasts section, later on in the week when it is loaded up. | Tue 1st Jan 2008 Boot Exchange There is now a box with second hand football boots at the club. Bring in your old boots and exchange them for a pair that fit or donate them to other families to use. A gold coin donation is requested for any boots taken. All proceeds will be donated to charity at the end of the season.  | |
